What is Girls Who Code all about?

Join a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models where girls learn to see themselves as computer scientists.

Learn the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis of all programming languages.

Work in teams to complete a computer science impact project that solves a real-world problem in your community.

Mary Hallewell graduated from Hurricane High in 2013 and graduated from Utah State University in Computer Science shortly thereafter. Mary has recently moved back here after work as a data engineer in Arizona went remote due to COVID. She has volunteered with two Girls Who Code clubs in Arizona and is excited to start the first one in Washington County.
