2025 Fall Cross Country

Cross Country is a running program where your child will build their individual running endurance and speed as they enjoy practicing with a team. Your child will have the opportunity to compete in several 1-2 mile races throughout the season held in Hurricane and surrounding towns. Parents are responsible for any travel or fees for meets.

Registration opens: July 7

Cost: $35 Resident

$40 Non-Resident

Jersey: $14 track/XC jersey (Purchased at the Hurricane Community Center)

Ages: 2nd-8th grade

When: Mondays and Thursdays

Time: 5:45 - 7:00pm

Where: Grandpa's Pond

Season: August 21 - October 2

September 2 - Dixie All-Comers @ Bloomington Hills North Park - 5:30pm
September 10 - Enterprise High School (1 & 2 mile) - 5:00pm
September 10 - Hurricane (middle school, 2 mile only) @ Fairgrounds - 5:00pm
September 23 - Velocity Kids/PR Performance (1 & 2 mile) @ St. James Park (741 St. James Ln. St. George) - 6:30, $2 fee
September 27 - Cedar Invitational (middle school, 2 mile only) - preregister at athletic.net
October 2 - Hurricane Meet @ Grandpa's Pond @ 5:00pm
October 17 - Ivins @ Unity Park, 400 S. 200 W (1 mile @ 5pm, 2 mile @ 5:30)

Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration at all meets

2026 Spring Track & Field

The Hurricane Track & Field program will help kids train and compete in a variety of track & field events. Kids will practice 2 days a week to help them improve their speed, running and throwing technique. Runners have the opportunity to compete in track meets in Hurricane and surrounding towns. Parents are responsible for any travel or fees for meets.

Running events: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1-mile and 4x100m relay, and hurdles.

Field Events: Long Jump, Softball Throw, Javelin, Discus, and Shot Put.
